ASSEST QUIZ WAS CONDUCTED ON 17th JAN 2012.
Education has the power to ignite a mind and give direction to life. To increase the skills of practial knowledge of the students of Krishna Public School an ASSET Quiz was conducted for the students of Class-V to IX. Fourteen students were selected for the quiz competition. There were three rounds and the students were divided in seven teams. Mrs Bhawna Sareen was the quiz master assited by Ms.Megha Shekhar and on the score board was Mr.Lokesh Patel.
Questions were asked based on Science, Mathematics and General Knowledge. The participants were very enthusiastic. The audiences were very energetic and lively, answering the questions(IX-I)and Shilpi Mondal (VII-N) achieved the first position with 130 points.The second position was secured by Ruskin Iyer(IX-I) and Rishabh Gupta (VII-N) with 85 points and third position was secured by Adhyasha Samal (VIII-N) and Ayushi Tiwari (VII-N) with 80 points.
At the end Director of School Mr.Ashutosh Tripathi and Principal Mrs.Priyanka Tripathi congratulated the winning team.

REPUBLIC DAY AND FAREWELL PARTY WAS CONDUCTED ON 26 tH JAN 2012.
Republic Day Celebrated with patriotic Fervour at K.P.S.
The 63rd Republic Day was celebrated with lot of patriotic fervour at the Krishna Public School campus at Dunda. Mr Ashutosh Tripathi, Director of school hoisted the Tricolour and addressed the students. Reciting the Hindi poem by the former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Bajpai titled “Aao phir se diya jalayein. Addressing the students he said it is time to introspect about the so called progress, the country has made. He also said that milestones are not destinations. He urged the students to ignite the fire with in them to work to excel in every field.
The Principal Mrs Priyanka Tripathi adviced the students to excel in whatever they do and work for the betterment of the soicety. The students of class 11th presented an excellent display of “Thangtha”- the martial art of Manipur. The students of class I and II saluted the mother land through patriotic dance performances like-Tum chalo to Hindustan Chale”. The choir group presented group song “Kandhen se miltey hai Kandhe”. These songs stirred the patriotic emotions in the audience.

SPELL BEE COMPETITION ORGANISED BY TIMES OF INDIA WAS HELD ON 16 th JAN 2012.
English being an international, language is to be mastered by all and when we talk about English vocabulary ,pronunciations and spellings comes first . To enhance spelling abilities of the students and develop correct usage Spell- Bee competition was held in Krishna Public School. (Dunda) Raipur on 16 Jan 2012.
The activity was supported by HDFC Life and the leading news paper of India-”The Times of India.” The students of classes V to IX participated in this contest. The 1st round was spelling round & the students were asked to write the dictated words. Top 15 Secorers were selected for the next phase, city level-inter school competition.
These activities proved the well known saying that-Journey of thousand miles start with a single step. The various co-scholastic activities are surely to be conducted to enhance young learners to unfold their potential & skills. Positively it will help them to flourish in their own spheres of life leaving a mark to be followed.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY "YOGA AND HEALTH"WAS CONDUCTED ON 27 th JAN 2012.
Yoga is a Scientific system of physical and mental practices that originated in India more than three thousand years ago. Its purpose is to help each one of us achieve our highest potential and to experience enduring health & happiness.
Keeping these objectives in mind the students of K.P.S. Raipur (class VII-D) performed a Special Assembly on 27th January 2012. Students demonstrated eight different types of Asana like-Ushtra asana, Shashanka asana, Chakra asana, Bhujanga asana etc and focused on the diseases which can be cured just by performing yoga regularly.
Mr. Ashutosh Tripathi, Director of school appreciated the assembly. He emphasized a need to include Yoga as a subject to increase students concentration power. The teacher incharge Mrs Chhaya Chauhan and students of class VII-D actively participated in this assembly.

SARASWATI PUJA WAS CONDUCTED ON BASANT PANCHAMI 28 th JAN 2012
Basant Panchami, a festival which marks the beginning of spring season, was celebrated in Krishna Public School (Dunda) Raipur with great traditional fervour on Jan 28. This day is also known as “Saraswati Puja”, the birth day of Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of knowledge, wisdom and music.
On this occasion, special puja was offered to Devi Saraswati. Students kept their books infront of Saraswati’s idol and prayed to the Goddess of knowledge. Mr Ashutosh Tripathi, Director of school along with the Principal Mrs Priyanka Tripathi and Vice Principal- Mr Anurag Gulal offered Pushpanjali to the idol of Goddess Saraswati. Traditional hymns were sung by the choir group of the school along with their music teacher Mrs Sushma Mishra.
Havan and religious programs were conducted. Teachers and students clad in yellow sarees and dresses. There after, prasad and bhog was distributed among the students and teachers.

PICNIC OF CLASS III TO V WAS CONDUCTED ON 14 jan
A Grand picnic was planned for KPS kids on 14th of Jan. The Children were taken to Energy Park. All sort of exciting games and musical entertainment were the highlights of this event. Students enjoyed the company of their friends and teachers. Director of school- Mr. Ashutosh Tripathi and Principal Mrs. Priyanka Tripathi added more colour to the picnic by there presence. Students relished the food and desserts and were overwhelmed to recieve the return gifts from the school management. The day was a jackpot for all the kids.

"INDRADHANUSH"THE ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATION WAS CELEBRATED ON 4 jan 2012 WITH GREAT ENTHUSIASM.
Annual Day ‘INDRADHANUSH’ CELEBRATED AT KPS
The seven colours of Indradhanush were displayed on the sky of KPS on its Annual Day Celebration , January 4th 2012. IG Economics Offence Wings DM Awasthi was present as a chief guest while other dignitaries including Chairman of Raipur Development Authority Sunil Soni, Chairman of KPS Shree M.M Tripathi ,Manager Mr. Anand Tripathi, Director of Kids Academy Mrs.Sharmila Sur,Secretory Krishna Education Society Mr.Pramod Tripathi,Yogendra Tripathi,Archana Mishra and Mr.Rakesh Mishra.Chief Guests also released the annual magazine ‘Horizon’.
Annual day celebration started with the welcome of parents and guest by the Principal Mrs.Priyanka Tripathi. She said that KPS aims at developing the pupils as leaders of tomorrow with a holistic exposure and future ready actionable intelligence. Director KPS Raipur Mr.Ashutosh Tripathi emphasized on leading the Young India towards positive aspects of life. Chairman Shree M.M Tripathi spoke on inculcating strong moral values in children to make them sound individuals.
During the cultural presentation, theme based dances for the protection of tigers,protection of holy river Ganga were presented by the students. Regional and folk dance including Mohiniyattam,Kathak,Rajasthani,Chhattisgarhi,Lavni,Bhangra and Garbha were performed with lot of enthusiasm by energetic students.
On the occasion, meritorious students were felicitated with awards and trophies.The function concluded with vote of thanks proposed by Head Boy of the School Gaurav Singh and Head Girl Swati Tripathi. The programme was organized under the able guidance of Vice Principal Anurag Gulal, Malavika Sen, R. Mishrekar, Bhawna Sareen, Shubhangi Rajimwali, Almas Hussain, S.Ghosh, Prabha Chandrakar, Sunita Pathak, L.Patel, Ratnesh Pandey and C.B Verma.
