Celebrations Galore On National Festivals
Celebrations Galore On National Festivals
Republic Day reminds us of the fulfillment of the pledge that was made on the midnight of Independence as a “tryst with destiny”. It is future-oriented, a vision of India that we nourish, an acceptance of responsibility and making of promises as well as recapitulation of the achievements. This year, Neeta Dumre, a notable player of the National Women Hockey team was the Chief Guest at the celebration. She unfurled the National Flag and the National Anthem was sung to mark the beginning of the parade. She reflected that on Republic Day regional identity gives way to national identity. Neither caste, creed nor religion matter. What is predominant is the unity among the people.

Students displayed a colourful drill and sang to the tunes of patriotic songs. The festival provided a unique opportunity for the audience to witness vibrant and authentic folk dances drawn from various parts of the country. Awards and medals of various sporting events held in the school were given by the Director, Mr. Ashutosh to the young winners for their exceptional performances.
