of My Village-The Dunda Vllage”
By giving children from rural back

discrepancy between the quality of education received by them and the city
students.The 10 day camp commenced on 21st
Oct 2010 and was attended by 27
students on the first day. The
number grew to 140 students by
the tenth day.

application of MS- word.
Mr. Ashutosh envisioned to
empower these rural children to blossom and meet future
challenges. The combined initiative of the village authorities,
e spe cially the Sarpanch of the village and school management will
make all the difference in the life and future of these disadvantaged children who
thus have been deprived of chances to
participate in the fast paced
globalized world.
The commi t ted facul ty,
including Mr. Jagtar Singh, Mr. Surya
Vishwakarma, Ms. Sonali Gupta, Ms.
Richa Goyal and Ms. Shalini Tiwari
complemented computer based
education by innovative methods to
help the children realize their full
potential. The project will be a
continuous one to set an example of
mass awareness for other institutions

OESTEOPOROSIS Awareness Camp
| Many fractures could be avoided with earlier diagnosis and treatment |
 |
|
To address the ‘silent epidemic’ of Osteoporosis,
the school organized an awareness camp for
teachers on 9th October 2010 in association
with Novartis.
Osteoporosis seldom shows any
symptoms, hence the only way to know
whether one is at its risk in through the
evaluation of the density of bones. A Bone
Mineral Density Test (BMD) can determine the
risk of this disease. A team of doctors under the supervision of Dr. Ambresh Verma,
M.S.(Orthopaedics) conducted the test on 210 teachers of the school. Teachers who
were unaware of the problem due to lack of access to diagnosis benefitted from the
test.
|
|
|
Eating recommended amounts of calcium and vitamin D regularly, engaging in weight
bearing exercises, getting BMD checked and taking prescribed medication were few
suggestions given to keep their bone bank account healthy.

Celebrations Galore On National Festivals
 |
|
Republic Day reminds us of the
fulfillment of the pledge that was made on
the midnight of Independence as a “tryst
with destiny”. It is future-oriented, a vision
of India that we nourish, an acceptance of
responsibility and making of promises as
well as recapitulation of the achievements.
This year, Neeta Dumre, a notable player of
the National Women Hockey team was the
Chief Guest at the celebration. She unfurled
the National Flag and the National Anthem
was sung to mark the beginning of the
parade. She reflected that on Republic Day
regional identity gives way to national
identity. Neither caste, creed nor religion
matter. What is predominant is the unity
among the people.
|
|
|
Students displayed a
colourful drill and sang to the tunes of
patriotic songs. The festival provided a
unique opportunity for the audience to
witness vibrant and authentic folk dances
drawn from various parts of the country.
Awards and medals of various sporting
events held in the school were given by the
Director, Mr. Ashutosh to the young winners
for their exceptional performances.
